UNI for Change, a dynamic of commitment to sustainability in higher education, nominated for a Good Wave Award!

Voting is open for the King Baudouin Foundation's Good Wave Awards! The awards targetted initiatives that break new ground in terms of ecological and societal transition.

Among the 12 nominated projects, the collective initiative UNI for Change could win the People's Choice Award.

Launched at ULiège and extended to the Higher Education sector in French-speaking part of Belgium, this project aims to mobilize over 200,000 students and employees around concrete actions for the climate and the Sustainable Development Goals, by integrating the ecological and societal transition at the heart of campus life.

ODD 4 : Éducation de qualité

Veiller à ce que tous puissent suivre une éducation de qualité dans des conditions d’équité et promouvoir les possibilités d’apprentissage tout au long de la vie Le quatrième objectif vise à garantir l’accès à tous et toutes à une éducation équitable, gratuite et de qualité à travers toutes les étapes de la vie, en éliminant notamment les disparités entre les sexes et les revenus. Il met également l’accent sur l’acquisition de compétences fondamentales et de niveau supérieur pour vivre dans une société durable.

ODD 11 : Villes et communautés durables

Faire en sorte que les villes et les établissements humains soient ouverts à tous, sûrs, résilients et durables Le onzième objectif vise à réhabiliter et à planifier les villes, ou tout autre établissement humain, de manière à ce qu’elles puissent offrir à tous des opportunités d’emploi, un accès aux services de base, à l’énergie, au logement, au transport, espaces publics verts et autres, tout en améliorant l’utilisation des ressources et réduisant leurs impacts environnementaux.
