From the mobilizing power of The Week workshop to the concrete actions of UNI for Change
The Week is a powerful workshop for mobilizing people in favor of the climate and biodiversity. The workshop is a group experience. In three 2-hour episodes over the course of a week, participants go through a "U"-shaped experience, similar to a mourning curve, with each episode lasting around 1 hour, followed by a time for exchanging emotions.
In Episode 1, they are brought face-to-face with the reality of climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution, and made aware of the consequences that will affect us in 10, 20 or 30 years' time if we don't change our course. This episode can arouse strong emotions: it's the descent of the "U".
Episode 2 helps us to understand how our society got to this point, and to begin the ascent of the "U" with hopeful examples.
Episode 3 continues the ascent of the "U" by sharing numerous testimonials from people who are taking action in their daily lives and on their own scale in various North American and European countries.
By living The Week experience, the UNI for Change team realized that many of these courses of action are already proposed in UNI for Change in the form of challenges or addressed in thematic guides.
The aim of this UNI for Change lunchtime event is to introduce you to The Week workshop and to build bridges with what UNI for Change already offers, in order to identify actions for which we can co-construct challenges as part of the courses.
