Prizes and Honorary sponsors
Since the creation of the innovative UNI for Change dynamic, the numerous awards and support received have created a positive spiral!
A positive spiral
Calls for projects and competitions place the team's work in a dynamic of excellence and the need for efficiency: in a short space of time, to give the best, to go to the essential, to rely on the advice of experts, and so on.
What's more, they push the team to produce high-quality materials, both in terms of content and form (videos, illustrations, summaries, etc.), which can then be reused to communicate around the project.
An expanding scope
Expert recognition of the project's relevance and positive impact boosts the energy and confidence of the team and its internal and external stakeholders. The associated visibility opens up the possibility of building new partnerships. By pooling resources, these partnerships increase human and financial resources.
The collective energy federates more and more players around the dynamic. The positive impacts are multiplied, strengthening the determination of all players.
They support this pioneering initiative
- The United Nations Organization (UNO) as part of the 2021 edition of the "Challenge Campus 2030" competition, at the end of which the Green Office was awarded the "Coup de cœur" prize by the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie.
The prize won gave access to coaching, which is at the origin of the idea of sharing the dynamic via a toolbox and a collective platform. This sharing was directly implemented from autumn 2021 via the creation of a consortium of partners around two twin challenges.
- The Federation of Enterprises in Belgium (FEB) and the Time4Society association for the Sustainable Pioneer 2022 prize, French-speaking category.
- The International Sustainable Campus Network (ISCN) with the excellence award in the culture change for sustainability category.
This award raised the program's profile among members of this English-speaking network of universities committed to sustainability.

A Patron and Honorary Patron
It was at COP 27 in Sharm-el Sheikh that our path crossed that of climatologist and former IPCC vice-president, Jean-Pascal Van Ypersele. Convinced by the UNI for Change dynamic, he agreed to become Honorary Patron.
A new Honorary Patron has also joined the UNI for Change family: Runa Khan, founder of the international organization Friendship. Since 2002, this NGO has been overcoming numerous humanitarian challenges in Bangladesh, helping almost 7 million people a year. Its missions revolve around four objectives: saving lives, promoting education and fighting poverty, while aiming to adapt to climate change.
A princess joins forces with young people
Also present at COP 27, Princess Marie-Esméralda of Belgium, known for her commitment to environmental protection, wanted to contribute to the project in her own way by encouraging young people to take action, bringing joy and hope.
